A 4-year-old’s dreams came true! Zach Bryan stopped his concert, in Melbourne, Australia on December 9, 2023, to bring the little girl, who is battling cancer, on stage.
The 4-year-old’s mom took to social media after the concert with a post captioned, “Layla’s dream fulfilled. The happiness Zach gave to Laylah was & will forever be unexplained.”
Laylah’s Dream Came True
Laylah and her mom, Jess Tilley, came to the show prepared! They brought a sign that Laylah held up for Bryan to see. It was designed as a to-do list, all of her boxes were checked off except the fourth one– Meet Zach Bryan. The sign read, “4 YEARS OLD,” “MIDDLE OF CHEMO,” “GO TO ZACH BRYAN.”
During Zach’s performance, he spotted the poster in the crowd and asked for Laylah to come to the front of his stage set. She did with some help! He spoke with her before checking off the last box on her poster and signing it. As he made his way back on stage, the crowd cheered.
Laylah’s mom, Jess, shared the heartfelt moment on TikTok, and it currently has over two million views. She captioned the video, “Laylah’s dream fulfilled.”
Laylah Was In Shock!
Her mom told Music Meyhem, Laylah was “so happy throughout the first half of the concert, and although she’s 4 years old, she instantly went into excitement shock when Bryan noticed her sign.” She followed with, “She was taken up front of the stage, where Zach Bryan then said, ‘Who is that? Hey get her up here,’ to which Laylah was too shy in front of 30,000 people.” Jess mentioned, Laylah couldn’t exactly remember what Zach had said to her because she was in shock and it was too loud.
“Instantly after she came back to me in the crowd, she wanted to go back up to him.”
Laylah Is Battling Leukemia
She was diagnosed with Leukemia earlier this year. Her mom, Jess, noticed that her daughter’s skin and lip color had changed. She noticed she had started looking “very pale.” Laylah’s doctor sent her for blood tests, only suspecting low iron. Within 24 hours, they got the call asking them to go to the emergency department.
Jess shared, “This wasn’t what we were expecting.” She requested Laylah’s tests be redone to confirm the Leukemia diagnosis. She stated, “From that day on, we didn’t leave the hospital for a while and treatment started instantly.”
Laylah’s treatment has been tough, and has included a gastric nasal tube be put in for her oral medicines, chemotherapy, and numerous platelet transfusions.
“Chemo has taken a toll,” said Jess. “She’s very weak and tired from treatment with lots of other side affects. Some side affects include – vomiting, hair loss/thinning, loss of balance, emotional, mouth ulcers, high body temperatures and the list goes on.”

The Concert Was A Big Risk
Due to the amount of germs and the size of the crowd, the show was a “big risk” for Laylah.
After her interaction with Zach, Laylah shared she, “knew she made the right decision, as the happiness Zach gave her was & will be forever unexplainable.”
Zach Reflects On Time Spent In Australia
