Why does country superstar Shania Twain constantly wear wigs? She used to have long, luscious brunette locks. Yet, in her “Man! I Feel Like A Woman” music video, she dabbled in new styles. They were fun and fresh but now, she has taken on new styles everywhere she goes. Is there a method to her madness? Read on for all of the details.
Shania Twain, Why Does She Wear Wigs?
Fans have known Shania Twain for three decades now and she has never failed to impress. Her voice and catchy songs make people want to knock doors down and belt out the catchy tunes. Along with that, Twain is a beauty in her own right, not just an impeccable vocalist. Yet, as the years have gone by, she has started to experiment more with her look. As of late, the fifty-eight-year-old started to don wigs in her performances and interviews. Some were natural while others were wild and fun. Is there a certain meaning behind this, does she have a hidden medical condition, or is it something completely different?
According to Classic Country Music, there are a handful of reasons why Shania opts to don wigs nowadays. First off, her styles have always evolved so she is used to changing up her look. Secondly, she notes that she is going gray. Therefore, it makes it more fun to be able to spice up her look.
“Over the years, I have had many different styles. I’m playing more with color right now and I’m enjoying that because I’m going gray. As I go gray, I’m like, ‘I might as well toy around with different colors.’”
Additionally, Shania looks at her wigs as fashion which is something she truly enjoys. “It’s almost an excuse to play with color and embrace it. I just enjoy playing around with it, like fashion.” She even pointed out that when she does go fully gray, she might change her color every week. It looks like she is appreciating the aging process as long as she can play with her style.

Shania Twain has become an inspiration for women due to her powerful and inspiring lyrics. She wants them to have fun and blow roofs off of places. More so, she wants them to embrace their inner fashionista which is something she has proudly done. Speaking on Instagram, Shania had these wise words:
“For me fashion is a powerful tool that helps to convey my personality and express my creativity and other than getting to hang out with my friends for the night, it’s one of my favourite things about attending award shows! Life is too short to wear boring clothes!!”
