Shania Twain has made a statement after 13 of her crew members were hospitalized from a serious accident between tour locations.

Shania Twain’s Crew Experiences Dangerous Accident

Twain is wrapping up her “Queen Of Me” tour which traveled across North America and parts of Europe for a total of 78 performances. This is the last week of the tour, which will close out on November 14th 2023.

On Wednesday, November 8 2023 at approximately 7 in the morning, Shania Twain’s touring group was involved in a multi-vechicle crash. The accident included the “Queen Of Me” tour bus and truck, which held many members of Shania’s crew. The impact of the collision was enough to topple over the large-sized bus, injuring at least 13 members of the team. All 13 were sent to nearby hospitals for treatment, and none were found to have life-threatening injuries. Shania Twain herself was not present in any of the vehicles, so she remained unharmed.

A winter storm had swept over the area of Canada that Twain’s team was driving through, causing ice to form on the roads as well as low visibility. This made driving hazardous for any vehicle, especially a car the size of a tour bus. Shania and her tour family were between a concert in Winnipeg and a concert in Saskatoon. This is the statement initially put out by Shania Twain’s management on the day of the accident:

“One crew bus and one truck from the Shania Twain – ‘Queen Of Me’ tour were involved in a highway accident driving between Winnipeg and Saskatoon. Multiple vehicles encountered dangerous driving conditions due to inclement weather. Members of the production crew who require medical attention have been taken to nearby hospitals. We are incredibly thankful to the emergency services teams for their quick response and ongoing support. We ask for patience as we look after our touring family.”

Shania Twain Makes Public Announcement

It has been three days since the accident occurred, and there have not been many updates or details. However, on Thursday, November 9, 2023, Shania Twain made her own public statement on an Instagram story. In the post, she states:

“Thank you so much for the out pour of love and support from everyone. First and foremost my touring family are safe. Anyone needing medical care is receiving great support. The local community and every single crew person has been phenomenal, in the face of a very scary scenario. Hug and hold those you love, we are doing the same!” She then ends the statement with an emoji of a red heart.

This was a relieving statement to hear, especially with the severe conditions of the accident. The tour has persisted as scheduled and will still be completed all the way through.
