Country singer Carly Pearce has a booked and busy schedule on the road throughout 2025. But she’s been told by her doctors to tone down her onstage antics on her tour after a serious health scare. How will it affect her tour dates? Keep reading to find out what’s going on.
Carly Pearce Forced To Tone Down Shows After Health Scare
Carly Pearce has a lot going on this year. She has a new album dropping this month. Her fourth studio album, Hummingbird, comes out on June 7. The European leg of the tour to promote the new album kicks off in February 2025. In the meantime, she’s part of Tim McGraw’s Standing Room Only tour, as well as her solo tour dates and CMA Fest appearance.
The singer’s shows aren’t necessarily known to be rowdy, but the energetic musician was told by her doctors to take it easy on stage after a serious health scare.
Carly Pearce took to her Instagram on Thursday to share an update on her health. “I have always been transparent and honest about every part of my life so I feel like this deserves the same honesty,” the singer began the video address.
“You guys know that I’ve been dealing with some health issues,” she told her fans. “Through that I have developed something called pericarditis, which is a heart issue.”
The video was posted just days after she posted photos of herself walking her dogs, noting in the caption that it had been a tough week.
What does her diagnosis mean for her tour? The singer reassured fans that the show would go on with some changes. “We have all decided that it is in my best interest as I’m healing to alter my shows a little bit.”
The singer added, “So if my shows look a little bit different, just know it’s because I have to keep my heart rate under control right now.”
What Is Pericarditis
Carly Pearce, 34, told her fans that she would be “completely fine” but had to take her health “seriously.”
According to the Mayo Clinic, pericarditis is the “swelling and irritation” of the tissue lining the heart. The condition causes chest pain, particularly when the heart is exerted. It sometimes goes away on its own or can be treated with medication and surgery if necessary.
