Billy Ray Cyrus ‘So Proud’ Of Miley Amid Estrangement
For years, Billy Ray Cyrus and Miley Cyrus were extremely close. He even played her father on Hannah Montana and she changed her middle name to mirror Billy Ray’s. Then, in 2022, Miley’s mother, Tish Cyrus, filed for divorce for the third time. Billy Ray then moved on with musician, Firerose, whom he had formed a friendship with about a decade prior. This did not sit well with Miley who was by her mother’s side. Soon enough, Billy Ray and Firerose were engaged but Tish wasted no time finding love.
She and Prison Break star, Dominic Purcell started dating and became engaged, as well. Miley was by Tish’s side when she got married and then, she won her first Grammy. However, she did not thank her father and fans noticed he was snubbed. Younger sister, Noah Cyrus is still very close to Billy Ray but it is hard to see the strain within the family right now. Despite all of this, Billy Ray still respects and honors his children and has proven that with his latest action.

According to The Sun, he shared a very special photo of himself holding a young Miley on his Instagram. In the midst of the caption, Billy Ray added these sweet words:
“I’m incredibly proud of her. She’s a survivor and a true artist. She learned early on to love and appreciate the fans who make everything possible.”
It was beautiful to see that, despite their estrangement, Billy Ray is still an amazingly proud parent. More so, he admires Miley Cyrus for the artist and woman that she is.
