Lainey Wilson may seem like an overnight sensation, but she actually worked her bell bottoms off for over a decade to get to where she is now. She began performing at a young age and moved to Nashville after high school.
She released her self-titled debut album in 2014 on the Cupit label. Her second album, Tougher, came in 2016 on a different label. When she wasn’t recording music, she was doing small gigs and perfecting her songwriting skills.
In 2019, Lainey Wilson signed with BBR Music Group and released her Redneck Hollywood album. She joined Morgan Wallen on tour that same year. But it was a stint on the TV show Yellowstone in 2022 that really kicked her career in overdrive. In addition to an acting role, several of her songs were used on the Paramount+ series.
Five years later, she’s a best-selling country artist with a Best Country Album Grammy Award for her hit album Bell Bottom Country.
She headlined the second day of the 2024 Faster Horses Country Music & Camping Festival. Her frequent collaborator and friend Jelly Roll was the headliner on Friday.

Lainey Wilson is known for her signature outfit of tight bell bottoms and a huge hat. According to Us Weekly, she was wearing purple trousers and a black vest during her show before she abruptly rushed off stage.
When she returned, she was wearing flared dark jeans. She hilarious told the audience that her other pants split down the middle.
“You can’t make that up! I’d have never known had my people back here not seen it.”
In a video a concertgoer uploaded to TikTok, Lainey Wilson seemed unfazed by nearly showing too much skin to the crowd. The singer’s fans took to the comments to praise her calmness during the embarrassing incident.
