Brantley Gilbert Recounts Bar Fight Started By Singer Colt Ford
Brantley Gilbert has a kind heart for hurricane victims, but not so much for hecklers. He shared a story with Taste of Country Nights about a bar fight he was once in that involved Colt Ford. The “Bottoms Up” singer said the incident happened in a “hole-in-the-wall bar” during one of Colt Ford’s first live performances.
“He walked on stage and in the middle of the song, during the guitar solo, and I looked at him and said, ‘As soon as this song’s over, I’m gonna get the dude in the red hat, you get the dude in the blue shirt.'”
Colt Ford apparently thought his buddy was just kidding around. Gilbert said that Ford was taken aback when he actually did jump off the stage to beat the guy up. “He [Ford] said, ‘I didn’t know what the hell to do other than find try to find the guy in the blue shirt!'”
