Just days before Mother’s Day, Keith Urban marked the career highlight of the release of Ripcord five years ago. Nicole Kidman takes things back decades farther in her loving tribute to her husband and the father of their beautiful daughters, Sunday Rose, 12, and Faith Margaret, 10. She offers a peek of the boy Keith Urban to fans and followers in a precious photo. The string wizard is holding a guitar as long as he is tall and his shoulder-length hair seems to shimmer, even in black and white.
The dearest treasures flow from the heart, never heavy shopping bags. As People and Taste of Country note, Keith Urban honors Nicole Kidman not only for her personal virtues but more impactfully, for her living legacy of goodness in the lives of their girls.
Like his friend and “Highway Don’t Care” collaborator, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban displays his way with words. Despite coming from different continents, the artists share more in common under the stars than their passion for country music or just plain good music. The stars are the same age, within months, nearly the same age as their wives, and their devotion as dads is indubitable.
Daddy Keith Urban captures the beauty of his wife, nature, and the colors of the rainbow as well as the heart in his Mother’s Day homage to Nicole Kidman. The years only deepen their love.
Keith Urban celebrates Nicole’s gifts to their daughters
“Our girls are ALL love, color, kindness and compassion, curiosity, and so much more because YOU are all these things,” Keith Urban lovingly credits Kidman. He adds “and so much more” to end the list of marvelous, motherly characteristics. “We LOVE you!”
Fortunately for this multi-talented family, the circle for their “we” grew larger and more loving, as they spent much of their time during the pandemic near Nicole’s mother and sisters in Australia. Candidly, the actress speaks of how she suffered from the same sense of isolation as her daughters. Extended family eased the stress and provided the closeness of a “communal” clan, with everyone raising each other’s children together. Nature lessons live right outside the back door. Cows, alpacas, and other types of herding creatures roam their 111-acre property, providing “hands-on” family life. Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban dazzle on red carpets, but mom and dad don’t mind dirt on their hands, either.
Happy Mother’s Day to mothers EVERYWHERE!!!! 🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈 Happy Mother’s Day to Nicole Mary. Our girls are ALL love, color, kindness and compassion, curiosity, and so much more because YOU are all these things …..and so much more ❤️❤️❤️ We LOVE you !

Nicole Kidman blooms with her own moving words
Although Keith Urban won wide acclaim for “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” that shade is reserved for Nicole Kidman’s translucent eyes. On Mother’s Day, she breathes in the sweet aroma of red-orange roses, sent from her daughters’ school. The special UN Ambassador for Women, focusing on violence against women, opens her heart to the glory of mothers.
“To all our women out there– to our moms, our grandmothers, our sisters, our daughters, our aunts, our girlfriends,” the working mom star of The Undoing opens on social media. Elaborating how she is “deeply grateful to the women who raise other women,” Kidman echoes how women “laugh and love, and grieve and befriend and care.” Most of all, the Oscar winner and Golden Globe-nominated mother commends how moms “never, ever, ever give up.”

It’s hard to tell if Keith Urban and the girls serve breakfast in bed to Nicole, but if they did, she savored gratitude in every bite, no matter what was on the menu.
Someone special at home
Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman sang tender duets together, traded tips for new guitar techs, and tried to comfort everyone cloistered with positive messages. Nonetheless, the couple realizes how blessed they are to have each other at the end of the day, on the set or on stage. “My heart goes out to the people who don’t have a person to go to now,” Kidman relates. She’s also very grateful for the huge difference between her work life and home life.
“I actually have a very simple life, strangely enough,” Nicole stresses in a Marie Claire Australia feature from last November. “My creative life is off the charts, but my actual life with my husband and two daughters is quite simple.”
A snuggle, a sweet song, a bedtime story, and maybe a bunch of roses is all any mother needs.
