Carrie Underwood & Miranda Lambert Have History Together
Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert have similar stories of how their careers began. Underwood famously won Season 4 of American Idol. Her career skyrocketed after the 2005 win.
Miranda Lambert was a contestant on Nashville Star in 2003. She didn’t win, but her third-place finish was enough to get the attention of the record labels.
After years of building their separate careers, the two finally collaborated together in 2014. “Somethin’ Bad” reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot Country charts.
It also earned the duo a Grammy nomination for Best Country Duo/Performance. The Band Perry won the Grammy for the song “Gentle on My Mind.” But don’t feel too bad for the ladies: Carrie Underwood has 8 Grammys to Miranda Lambert’s 3.
Almost ten years after recording a song together, the two country singers are still friends.
Carrie Underwood Proves She’s Miranda Lambert’s Biggest Fan
Nashville singers have taken over Las Vegas in the last few years. Numerous country acts have booked residencies at Vegas hot spots. Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, and Keith Urban are just a few, plus both Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert.
Some artists have extended their residencies, including Underwood and Brooks. However, there’s a limited time left to see Miranda Lambert’s Velvet Rodeo residency. There are just five dates left in December and then she takes a well-deserved break. Her residency resumes in March 2024 for the last ten shows, with the last show on April 6, 2024.
Carrie Underwood proved she’s Miranda Lambert’s biggest fan by attending one of the recent residency shows. Underwood documented the experience on her Instagram, which Miranda Lambert then posted on her own Instagram Story.
“Just a couple country girls hanging out in Vegas,” Underwood captioned a photo of the two singers together backstage.
Lambert dressed casually in jeans, a t-shirt, and a leather jacket. Underwood sported plaid shorts with a matching plaid blazer over a black shirt.
Carrie Underwood also shared a short video clip of Miranda Lambert performing on stage. She thanked her friend for inviting her to the event, calling it “such a great show.”
