Taylor Swift hinted about Karma for years
There have been whispers about Taylor Swift’s supposed album. In her cover story for Vogue, she admitted that “Karma is real.” However, she released Reputation in 2017 following her feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. The lead single “Look What You Made Me Do” features the lyric: “All I think about is karma.”
In the music video for “The Man,” the word “Karma” appears on graffiti next to the titles of her other albums. At the time, she was promoting her album Lover. Fans had to wonder if this meant she was releasing the mystery album. The pandemic happened and she released two surprise albums — Folklore and Evermore.
In the midst of it all, Taylor Swift started re-recording some of her old music. So far, she released Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version). Now, she’s back to making her original music. Some fans wondered if she would ever work on that Karma album she never finished.
There have been rumors that Reputation (Taylor’s Version) would be a double album that would include unreleased tracks from Karma. Taylor is aware of the fan theories and she played along when she announced the thirteen tracks from her new album, Midnights. It’s expected to drop on Friday, October 21. She says the album is inspired by “thirteen sleepless nights.”
Karma is real after all

So far, she hasn’t announced the lead single from the album. It looks like she wants them to experience the album in full.
