American and country singer Cassadee Pope, 33, is brushing the backlash off her shoulders amid her ongoing feud with Jason Aldean’s wife, Brittany.
According to US Weekly, the country singer was featured on Monday’s episode of a podcast called “Hold My Hair?” During her appearance on the podcast, she opened up about the ongoing feud. For the most part, however, she just wanted people to know she would continue standing tall. And, she didn’t particularly care if fans of Jason Aldean and his wife were coming after her for what she said.
Cassadee Pope Brushes Off Brittany Aldean Feud Backlash
During the podcast, the 33-year-old singer addressed how she felt about the backlash. Shrugging it off, she admitted that she just didn’t “give a f**k” about the response.
Cassadee Pope explained she fully believed she was doing the right thing. Standing up for a community she loved and cared about. So, there was nothing anyone could say to tear her down.

She explained: “If I see something that is being said that I feel is harmful to a community that I care about … I’ll say something.”
sometimes it’s better to just amplify the voices of that community because they know what they’re talking about way more than I do, sometimes I can’t help [but stick up for them myself].
In response to the feud, Cassadee Pope shares people come to her social media profiles fueled with anger and hate. Threatening to cancel her, stop listening to her music, and quit going to her shows. Cassadee Pope fessed up to being unbothered by these people because they were not the kinds of people she wanted in the audience of her shows anyway.
This Feud Kicked Off In August 2022
This heated feud has been a year in the making. It was in August of last year when something Jason Aldean’s wife Brittany posted on social media started this entire thing.
In August 2022, she posted a video blog. With it, she penned the following statement: “I’d really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase. I love this girly life.”
Jason Aldean popped into the comments of the post at the time supporting his wife as he joked he had every reason to thank Brittany’s parents as well.

Her statement, however, was not well-received among the transgender community. Jason Aldean’s wife was crucified by many who argued she was implying transgender individuals were nothing more than a mistake made by their parents.
Cassadee Pope was among those who were furious with Brittany. And, quickly took to social media to blast her for what she had said.
The 33-year-old country singer tweeted in response: “You’d think celebs with beauty brands would see the positives in including LGBTQ+ people in their messaging. But instead, here we are, hearing someone compare their ‘tomboy phase’ to someone wanting to transition. Real nice.”
Jason Aldean’s wife did fight to defend herself. And, another country singer joined the mix. Maren Morris ripped Brittany for being an “insurrection Barbie.”

Cassadee Pope Never Let It Go
Over time, the feud did taper off on social media. But, Cassadee Pope was never fully willing to let it go as she continued to speak out for the transgender community.
