The original story about this that went viral was on a website that writes satire. This means they make up stories to get clicks and they like to come up with things that are a shock factor like this one.
The original story said, “Aldean said he will definitely sing the national anthem at next year’s Super Bowl, but he won’t take a dime to do it.” They made it sound like Jason wanted the gig but just didn’t want a paycheck for doing it. The original story said that Jason said he would do it for free. The story also tried to say that Jason Aldean said it was “Un-American” to take money for singing that song. This is not something he has ever said.

So far, it doesn’t sound like Jason Aldean has even been asked to sing at the Super Bowl. Fans would love it if he was picked to sing that National Anthem or was able to even get the halftime show. They haven’t announced who is doing either one yet. Country music fans would be thrilled if they picked Jason Aldean or another country artist to perform at the Super Bowl.
