Kelly Clarkson Gives Young Cancer Patient A Pep Talk
Kelly Clarkson had a packed schedule over the weekend. On Friday, Sept. 22, she was the latest performer on the TODAY show’s Citi Concert Series. Clarkson’s fellow American Idol alum Carrie Underwood was a performer earlier this month.
In between belting out her biggest hits, Kelly Clarkson took time to console a young cancer patient with a heartfelt pep talk. Host Hoda Kotb recounted how she brought Clarkson and her “biggest fan” together.
Kotb connected on a Zoom call with several children battling cancer. One child, Camilla, expressed her love for Kelly Clarkson and asked Hoda Kotb to get word to the singer that her song, “Stronger,” helped her through treatments.
At that point, Kelly Clarkson noticed a young girl in the crowd and realized it was Camilla. She quickly went over and gave her a hug. But the interaction didn’t end there. The little girl expressed fear over being bullied due to her baldness.
In response, the “Catch My Breath” singer spoke directly to the little girl and told her that she never fit in either. “You’re not alone in that. I was the same way. And look at me now,” she told the young fan.

Young Camilla isn’t the only Kelly Clarkson fan. Hoda Kotb couldn’t help but fangirl over the singer during her performance. Twitter users couldn’t get over Kotb’s reaction when Clarkson hit the high note on one of her hits.
“D*mn [Kelly Clarkson] you got the pipes and at 6:30 am? Consider me impressed,” one person tweeted. In the video clip, Hoda Kotb rocks out to the song, turns around, and mouths “Sh*t!” in awe of Clarkson hitting and holding the high notes.

The Citi Concert Series was just the start of the singer’s busy weekend.
Kelly Clarkson Rocks Crowd In Thigh-High Leather & Lace
After appearing on the TODAY show, the “Because Of You” singer flew to Las Vegas for another performance. She performed on Night 2 of the iHeartRadio Music Festival. Not only did she rock the crowd with her biggest hits, she gave them an eyeful in thigh-high leather and lace.
Kelly Clarkson is a beautiful woman, no doubt. However, fans are used to seeing her in loose-fitting dresses on her daytime talk show.
But she came to Vegas ready to slay in a tight and short all-black ensemble. She leaned into the “coat as a dress” fashion trend by rocking just a blazer that reached her thighs.
However, her skin wasn’t entirely exposed, as she appeared to have a lace bodysuit underneath the blazer. She wore thigh-high leather boots that didn’t quite reach the blazer, leaving fans with a glimpse of her thighs covered in lace.
One fan took to Twitter to dub the outfit the singer’s “revenge era,” a reference to her bitter divorce from Brandon Blackstock.
