Kelly Clarkson has been open about her struggles with her weight. After putting a few pounds on amid a strained divorce, the American Idol alum stuns fans with dramatic weight loss.
Is 2023 Kelly Clarkson’s Comeback Year?
The last few years have been turbulent for Kelly Clarkson. She filed for divorce from Brandon Blackstock in 2020. However, it took over two years to finalize the divorce due to a custody battle and a battle over a ranch the singer owns in Montana.
Clarkson retained ownership of the $17.8 million property, but the judge gave Blackstock separate property ownership of 5.12% (via USA Today.)
In 2019, the American Idol winner launched her self-titled daytime talk show, but not even that was without controversy. In May 2023, allegations were made of a toxic workplace on the Kelly Clarkson Show.
That same month, news broke that the daytime talk show was moving studios from L.A. to NYC. After building a new set in Manhattan’s famous 30 Rock, the show is finally ready for the Season 5 premiere this month.
Kelly Clarkson stopped at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week, which also tapes at 30 Rock. She shared the reason why she’s been changing some of the lyrics to her biggest hits when performing them post-divorce.
Kelly Clarkson Stuns Fans With Dramatic Weight Loss
The “Since U Been Gone” singer was a headliner at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Vegas last month. She showed up ready to slay in a tight leather and lace outfit.
It was one of the first glimpses of her slimmed-down figure. Fans can’t stop commenting about the weight loss on Clarkson’s Instagram content.
Earlier this week, she posted a video promoting her appearance at Audacy’s 10th Annual We Can Survive event in New Jersey.
In the clip, she rocked corduroy overalls and a basic t-shirt. Many of the 1000+ comments focused on the noticeable weight loss and how great it looks on Clarkson.
More recently, she posted some photos from her late-night talk show appearance, writing, “I always have such a great time with you @jimmyfallon.”
One follower dropped the comment, “Divorce looks good on you.”
Kelly Clarkson has yet to address her recent weight loss, but that didn’t stop fans from speculating. One person warned, “Ozempic is very dangerous!! I wish ppl would stop using it…”
Another speculated that the singer was either using the drug or had surgery.
