After 12 years on The Voice and an impressive nine wins, Blake Shelton decided to relinquish his coaching status on the show. Although several celebrities helped judge the show through its 23 seasons, the singer was one of the original cast. He even almost won Season 1, but his team member, Dia Frampton, came in second place.
Beyond knowing how to pick talent, he also met his wife, Gwen Stefani, on the show. With love and competition in the air, Shelton’s exit seemed to shock fans. With some wondering what was next for the singer, it appears it involves Shelton and Stefani spending some time apart after his recent announcement.
When Blake Shelton announced his departure from The Voice, many fans wondered why he would leave a job he was perfect for. His hilarious antics made for wonderful television. He revealed in 2022 that the first half of his life was nothing but ‘touring and work.”
With a family and kids now, he insisted, “If I walked away from my career at this time, the only thing that I run the risk of is having regrets that I’m missing out on some more important things in life. For now, that’s our kids. This isn’t about me anymore and never will be again.”

Gaining over 20,000 likes, excited fans shared their thoughts on the upcoming tour, writing, “Thank you for finally making my dreams come true see you in Edmonton.”
One person even detailed their experience trying to see him in concert. “So excited to see this! Ready for bar seats this time in Wichita, hopefully 3rd times a charm since I didn’t get them this year in Lincoln or KC, but either way, I’ll be there!”
Blake Shelton’s Alone On The Road
Although fans are thrilled to see Blake Shelton perform once again, that means Gwen Stefani and his three stepsons will have to do without him for some time. During a 2021 interview, Shelton discussed his parenting technique for being a stepfather. He said, “There’s definitely nothing easy about it. I don’t know if it’s as hard or harder or not as hard as being an actual biological parent, you know?”
Recalling his life with his stepfather, Blake Shelton added, “I love my stepfather, and I looked up to him. And he’s like a father to me. So, you know, I have a good inspiration in my life to how to do this and the kind of stepdad I want to be.”
