Often associated with the East Coast, Brett Young, born in California, bridged that gap to country music when he released the single In Case You Didn’t Know. The song struck a chord with fans of country music, and just a few years later, he found himself standing on stage, accepting the award for New Male Vocalist of the Year. Although the singer enjoys his stardom, recently, he found himself slumming it thanks to a canceled flight.
For any person who has traveled, there is nothing worse than making it on time with everything in check, just to see your flight has been canceled. The dread that follows is even worse. While some airlines can accommodate, Brett Young found himself stranded after his flight was canceled. With the Dallas airport his home, the singer decided to slum it for the night, and while it might have been a good idea on paper – it didn’t work out as planned.
Family First
Before Brett Young entered the Dallas airport, he spent the week celebrating his daughter’s birthday. Back in 2018, the country singer married Taylor Mills in California. Barely a year later, the couple welcomed their daughter Presley to the world. Since then, the duo had a second daughter named Rowan in July 2021.
With his family at the center of his life and career, he shared a beautiful portrait of his daughter with the caption, “You changed our lives forever. We will love you longer than that. Happy number 4 sweet Presley girl.”
Although in love with his daughters, Brett Young once discussed his own relationship with his father and how badly he wanted a son. But that apparently changed as he admitted, “I had such a good relationship with my dad – the father/son thing, the sports thing – I always thought that I wanted boys. And I immediately changed my mind when we had Presley.
He added, “When we had Rowan, it was just confirmation that I was supposed to be a girl dad. I’m in love with it. I don’t feel the need to have a son anymore. I just love the way my relationship is with both of my daughters. It’s different. I mean, it changes you a little bit, but in a lot of good ways.”
Brett Young Takes A Step
As for his trip to get back to his family, well, Brett Young documented his horrid night in the Dallas airport on Facebook. Hoping to sleep in the airport, the singer found what he believed to be a safe spot. And it was until some stranger decided to step on him. Yes, step.
With it hard to step on someone without seeing them, Brett Young not only recounted his story but showed a nasty bruise. The above picture shows the singer’s arm, definitely bruised.
While in good health, fans commented on the picture, with one writing, “If they only knew who you were! I would never expect to see you sleeping in an airport (like us normal people) but I would have taken a few pictures if I had. Priceless.”
