Internet Divided Over The 77-Year-Old’s Revealing Attire
Dolly Parton is about to turn 78 in early 2024. But her age didn’t stop her from taking the stage in a scantily-clad outfit. The “9 to 5” singer was the halftime entertainment at the Commanders vs. Cowboys NFL game on Thanksgiving Day.
Parton caused a social media storm by performing in one of the iconic Dallas Cowboys cheerleading outfits. Viewers were stunned to see the 77-year-old singer rock a pair of short-shorts and a mid-riff baring top that revealed a tiny stomach.

But not everyone appreciated Dolly Parton’s attire. The Dallas Cowboys are a divisive team in general – you either love them or hate them. And some Dolly Parton fans were disappointed to see her in enemy colors. But others took to social media to vent against the, in their opinion, inappropriate outfit for her age.
In addition to her hits “9 to 5” and “Jolene,” Dolly Parton performed a cover of Queen’s “We Will Rock You,” which was featured on her recently released rock album.
Dolly Parton’s Unexpected Connection To Film Star Keanu Reeves
Dolly Parton’s Rockstar album just came out a few weeks ago, and she is continuing to do a promo tour that included a stop at The Drew Barrymore Show. The singer also has a new coffee table book – Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones – that tells the story of her life using her fashion statements.
One of Dolly Parton’s most famous fashion statements was donning bunny ears and a tail for her 1978 Playboy cover photo. It turns out that photoshoot is her connection to Keanu Reeves.

His mother was a costume designer who worked on Parton’s Playboy outfit. Parton told Drew Barrymore that she knew Keanu Reeves as a child (per Entertainment Weekly.)
“She would bring him over to my house when we were fitting or when I would go to the shop where she worked,” the singer said of her connection to Keanu Reeves.
However, she admitted to not realizing at first that the little boy grew up to be the mega-famous actor. It was Reeves himself who refreshed her memory. According to Parton, they ran into each other years later, and he asked if she remembered him. “I’m the little boy that used to sit at your feet while my mama was doing [your fittings].’

But their connection doesn’t stop there. Keanu Reeves told David Letterman in 2003 that he dressed as Dolly Parton as a Playboy bunny for Halloween as a teen.
