Oliver Anthony Meets Country Legend
Several country music stars joined together in November for the Texas Heroes & Friends Tribute to Randy Travis. The living tribute honored the “Three Wooden Crosses” singer eleven years after a stroke left him partially paralyzed and unable to speak.
However, don’t count Randy Travis out. After years of physical therapy, the country music star can walk a little and sing a few words. He spends most of his time in public in his wheelchair.
Earlier this week, up-and-coming musician Oliver Anthony had the honor of meeting Randy Travis backstage at the Ryman.

Oliver Anthony made waves last summer by reaching the top of the charts with the viral song “Rich Men North of Richmond” without a label or agent. He’s about to embark on a worldwide tour.
Randy Travis Makes Surprise Appearance On Price Is Right
Randy Travis, 64, is a busy man this year. In addition to his meet-and-greet with Oliver Anthony, he made a cameo in the War Hippies music video for a cover of his 1988 hit “Promises.”
Next up for the “Diggin’ Up Bones” singer is his daytime game show debut. The Price Is Right kicked off Season 52 in September 2023 with a huge move. After decades of taping at Studio City, CA, the show moved to Glendale, California.

When The Episode Airs
Will Randy Travis be a contestant or just a guest? Competing on the game show might be too much for the singer. His appearance is simply as an audience member but with perks.
He got to meet Drew Carey, who has been hosting the Price Is Right since 2007. However, most people still connect the game show to the legendary Bob Barker, who sadly passed away last year.
According to Taste of Country, the episode featuring Randy Travis will air on CBS on Tuesday, February 27. Check local listings for times, as Price Is Right is syndicated and airs at varying times depending on where you live.
