Cissy Lynn, the daughter of Loretta Lynn, has been fighting a battle with cancer for a while now. On February 13th of this year, she had another surgery for this cancer. The daughter of the “Coal Miner’s Daughter” singer posted an update about her health on the social media platform Facebook.
Cissy Lynn’s Surgery
The surgery Cissy Lynn had last month was for the recurring cancer she has been battling against. That cancer had spread to her mouth. The surgery was performed at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Cissy Lynn did not release a lot of details about the surgery on her Facebook page. The daughter of Loretta Lynn simply said she had the surgery. She also mentioned she is staying with her daughter. At the time of publication, no details as to how long she would be living with her daughter.

The daughter of Loretta Lynn took the time to thank everyone who has been praying for and supporting her.
“Just want to thank you all for your prayers and support it’s a hard long journey but by god’s grace I will get through it,” Cissie Lynn wrote. “I’m staying with my daughter right now but will return home soon. I miss my puppies and some friends there.”
She added a strange-sounding ending to that Facebook post. Cissy Lynn wrote about how she was wishing to live an a “beach having beautiful flowers” but she had yet to had find the perfect spot. She again thanked people for their support. It was unclear what was meant the almost-ominous ending.
Loretta Lynn And Her Musical Family
Loretta Lynn was the original “Queen Of Country Music,” but there are many other musical family members as well. Her younger sister, Crystal Gayle, was also a country music star in the 1970s and 1980s. She had several hit country songs and won numerous country music awards.
Peggy and Patsy Lynn were also country music stars. This duo are the twin daughters of Loretta Lynn. Cissy Lynn also sang country music. She released an album her mother produced.
Of course, there is also Emmy Russell. She is the granddaughter of Loretta Lynn. She won a golden ticket to Hollywood on last week’s episode of American Idol. Emmy Russell will now be able to continue in the reality competition television show. She sang an original song she wrote entitled “Skinny.”
