Tim McGraw Reveals Dream Stage Partners

The “Don’t Take the Girl” singer recently revealed that none of his three daughters want to sing with him. They will, however, sing with their mom and country star in her own right, Faith Hill.

Are they missing out on some serious star power? After all, Taylor Swift shot to fame as one of the opening acts for a joint Tim McGraw and Faith Hill concert back in 2007.

Unexpected Anti-Establishment Song Reaches #1 on the Charts

There have been a lot of changes in the music industry in recent years. Toby Keith recently spoke out about the lack of radio play as the focus shifts to streaming.

Country music is no stranger to controversial songs. But still, short-lived viral songs that garner controversy are having a huge moment in country music. Jason Aldean’s song “Try That in a Small Town” had a brief moment in the #1 spot before a virtually unknown musician knocked it out.

Practically overnight, Oliver Anthony’s “Rich Men North of Richmond” hit over a million views on YouTube and was the talk of the town.

However, don’t expect Tim McGraw to bring politics into his music.

Tim McGraw Stays Out of Country Music Culture Wars

Over the course of his 33-year career in country music, Tim McGraw has found himself in some hot water from time to time. There was his arrest in 2003 for fighting with the police after a concert. And the time he allegedly slapped a woman who grabbed at him during a show. RadarOnline has a complete list of McGraw’s scandalous behavior in his younger years.

But those times seem to be behind him. He remained neutral when asked about the uproar surrounding Jason Aldean’s song.

In a recent interview with USA Today, Tim McGraw discouraged fans from expecting controversial music from him. “I only pay attention to the kind of music I make.”  He continued, “I stand for what I stand for and that’s all out there.”

And it seems what he stands for the most is his family. The song “Nashville CA/L.A. Tennessee” on his new Standing Room Only was inspired by his daughter, Gracie, moving across the country to pursue her dreams.

Watch him perform “Standing Room Only” off the album of the same name in NYC on August 25, 2023.
