Gwen Stefani is known for more than her musical talents as her fashion sense and bubbly personality are some of the reasons singer Blake Shelton fell in love with her. With it being Halloween, celebrities from all genres decided to embrace the holiday and dress up. While each drew inspiration from different celebrities and hot topics, Stefani decided to pay tribute to a classic Tim Burton film, Corpse Bride.
Although Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton married in 2021, their relationship dates all the way back to 2015. And since they decided to share their lives together, the couple seems to be enjoying a peaceful lifestyle in Oklahoma. While Stefani traded her city life for a farm in Oklahoma, she admitted to loving the experience and gardening. “To go and just be in nature. Gardening for me is this super amazing middle ground for me and Blake where we come together and we’re so into it. It is so incredible. And we’re doing it at such a large level with tractors and millions of seeds, and so it’s really fun.”
From Gardening To DIY
Before Halloween, Gwen Stefani shared a video on her Instagram that showed her and Blake Shelton walking their farm, looking for decorations. It’s obvious that the couple could pay for decorations already made, but Stefani loves DIY. In the video, she said, “We are going to make a cool front door decoration.” With Shelton helping her gather and prepare, it only takes a little time before their front door is fully prepped for the fall season. Not to mention, fans adored the singer’s style, noting she should have her own DIY show.

And proving that her talents go far beyond fall decorations, for Halloween she shared her costume with the singer transforming into the Corpse Bride, a 2005 film featuring Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter. Taking several snaps of herself in flawless makeup, the singer added the famous Monster Mash song to truly encompass the Halloween spirit.

Besides slaying the costume, Gwen Stefani explained on several occasions that she does her own makeup. “I never worked with a makeup artist my entire career, really, other than one here or one there. I found magic in the makeup. It’s not even about how people look; it’s how they feel. Once that makeup goes on, the confidence that comes with it is what stayed with me.”
Gwen Stefani Focuses On Being Comfortable
In 2019, Gwen Stefani discussed her makeup style with Wired, suggesting it had everything to do with being comfortable. “I did my own hair, and makeup, and styling, and everything. You know, for me it’s all about just being on stage and feeling comfortable and being able to perform.”
