Oliver Anthony, a new face to the country music spotlight, is finishing up his performances for the year. On October 4th, 2023, the singer announced his final concert for the foreseeable future. The reason for the sudden hiatus is very exciting though.

Christopher Anthony Lunsford is an American country songwriter and singer that has just blossomed to fame earlier this summer. The 31-year-old found his spotlight through his song “Rich Men North Of Richmond,” which initially garnished attention on YouTube. In a matter of hours, the artist went from an average guy to a nationwide sensation. He currently lives in Virginia, where he was born and raised, with his wife and two daughters. However, their family is about to get bigger!
Oliver Anthony Shares Last Concert Date
Oliver posted on social media that he would have one final concert for further notice. After a successful few months of performing and producing new music, Anthony is ready to take a break. Christopher will be returning to his hometown to end the season. On his Instagram, he posted this image:
The caption gives a little more information. Tickets are $25 and are scheduled to go on sale at 10 a.m. EST on October 6th. He provides a direct link to ticket sales in his bio and on his website. Oliver’s generosity continues to shine with ticket prices and fan engagement. The tickets will likely sell out within a matter of hours. Hopefully, there will be no change in location or dates this time.
Oliver Anthony also states, “This one’s going to be close to Halloween, and we may or may not have gotten a gorilla suit. I’ll leave it at that. 🤣 If you want to bring a costume, no one is going to stop you. 😎”
Though this announcement of no new concerts will upset some fans, the hiatus is for a very special reason.

Oliver Anthony Welcomes New Family Member
What wasn’t stated earlier, Oliver also dropped the bomb that he is about to have a son. The start of the caption says, “I had to squeeze in one more show before our baby boy comes at the beginning of November, and there’s no place like home.” The comments are full of congratulations and love, sharing their mutual excitement for his life to come.
