Throughout his music career, singer Blake Shelton proved himself to be more than a unique voice. His love for those around him and his fans helped him accumulate 28 number-one hits and nine Grammy Award nominations. Setting records along the way, the country singer shocked fans in 2011 when he signed on to be a coach for The Voice. For the past 12 years, Shelton helped singers gain fame, but eventually, he decided to leave the show. And for those wondering what the future holds, it seems there is little time for rest as he dropped a teaser for what may be his next tour.
Besides coaching singers and launching them into stardom, The Voice held a special place for Blake Shelton. It was the place he met his wife, Gwen Stefani. The two appear smitten with each other whenever they are close, which is usually on The Voice. But after some consideration, Shelton revealed to fans he was stepping away.
In a message, the star said, “This show has changed my life in every way for the better, and it will always feel like home to me. It’s been a hell of a ride over these 12 years of chair turns, and I want to thank everyone at The Voice from NBC, every producer, the writers, musicians, crew and catering people; you are the best.”
Blake Shelton Going Back To The Honky Tonk
Blake Shelton continued his message, joking about the hard work, dedication, and “adult beverages” it took to create The Voice. After stepping down, many wondered what the singer planned on doing.
Over the last few months, Shelton shared videos of him on his farm, seeming to enjoy life. But on Wednesday morning, he shared the video below of a sign reading “Back To The Honky Tonk Tour.”

Although fans bombarded the comments, calling for Blake Shelton to come to their city, others pointed to the bottom of the sign, which listed the letters “DL” and “EAR”. While not confirmed, some speculated these were the initials of his upcoming tourmates. DL supposedly stands for Dustin Lynch, with EAR referring to the runner-up of The Voice, Emily Ann Roberts. To add fuel to these claims, both singers reacted to the teaser using emojis.
The Second Leg
Kicking off in February 2023, the Back To The Honky Tonk Tour marked the tenth tour for Blake Shelton. The tour featured other singers like Jackson Dean and Carly Pearce. Ending its run in March when the star traveled to Buffalo, New York, the tour produced numerous memorable moments, like when Gwen Stefani took the stage with her husband.
