Reba McEntire Shares Sweet Story of Meeting Rex Linn
Reba McEntire has been dating actor Rex Linn since 2020, but their history goes back longer than that. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live on October 11, Reba McEntire was asked about their first meeting.
The country crooner first met the actor over 30 years ago. They were both starring in the 1991 Kenny Rogers movie The Gambler Returns: Luck of the Draw.
McEntire told host Andy Cohen that the two were fast friends and kept in touch over the years.
Their relationship didn’t turn romantic in 2020. Linn reached out to the singer during her mother’s illness. Her mother passed away that same year, but Reba McEntire pays tribute to her in the new video of her single “Seven Minutes In Heaven.”
Three years into their relationship, Rex Linn and Reba McEntire have the cutest nicknames for each other. She’s ‘Tator Tot,’ and he’s ‘Sugar Tot.”
Her Best Memory of Kenny Rogers
The music industry also suffered a huge loss in 2020 when Kenny Rogers died. The LA Times reported that he died of natural causes. According to Andy Cohen, the “Island in the Streams” singer didn’t get his just due after his death because everyone was focused on the COVID pandemic.
The Bravo host asked Reba McEntire to share her favorite memory of Rogers. McEntire began by calling her longtime friend a “gentleman” who was “nice to everyone.”
As for her favorite memory, she recalled something from the set of The Gambler movie. “My favorite time of the whole day was in the makeup trailer. [Kenny Rogers] would be in there telling jokes, and it was just a blast.”
Does Reba McEntire Want to Marry Rex Linn?
Do ‘The Tots’ plan to take their relationship to the next level? That’s what one fan wanted to know during Reba McEntire’s WWHL appearance. “Would you ever get married again?” the fan asked.
McEntire was previously married to Charlie Battles from 1976 to 1987 and to music manager Narvel Blackstock from 1989 to 2015. Narvel Blackstock is the father of Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband.
Reba McEntire made the surprising admission that Rex Linn has never been married before. Andy Cohen asked if that was a head-scratcher to her, and the singer admitted it was, but they “talked it out.”
As to marriage, she said that she would marry again, but “that’s up to him” if he wants to take the plunge for the first time.
