Although Wynonna Judd is known as the other half of The Judds, her time on the stage helped sell over 20 million albums and the duo even received five Grammy Awards. Looking outside of country music, the singer used her stardom to break into television on shows like Touched by an Angel and Hope & Faith. She even took a swing at Dancing with the Stars in season 16. While only 59 years old, the star continues to expand her reach with a spot on The Voice. With such a prosperous career dating back to the 1980s, it seems the singer has built an impressive net worth.
While Blake Shelton once controlled The Voice with numerous wins, after his departure, Reba McEntire stepped in to fill that country music vibe. But it appears that McEntire isn’t the only country legend that will be joining the show. On Tuesday, NBC named Wynonna Judd the mega mentor for Season 24. Starting on November 6, the singer will help those competitors still in the race prepare for a round of knockouts.
Mega Mentor
Besides lending decades’ worth of experience to the contestants, Wynonna Judd shared a post on Instagram, reading, “I’m a Judd, not a judge. It is SUCH a privilege to be the Mega Mentor on this season of @nbcthevoice!”
Reba McEntire also shared her excitement about Wynonna Judd joining them, laughing, “I love her being on The Voice. We’re neighbors in Tennessee and we have to get out here in LA to see each other.” In her own post, Reba insisted, “Wy is the perfect person for this and I can’t wait for you to see all the great advice she gives to these talented artists.”
Wynonna Judd Continues To Prosper
On top of The Voice, Wynonna Judd is currently underway with her Back To Wy tour, which features the singer performing in 15 cities. Running all the way to early December, it appears that the 80s singer never lost the spotlight. With her career blossoming, Celebrity Net Worth decided to take a look at the star and revealed what years of hard work brought her.
According to the site, Wynonna Judd accumulated a net worth of $12 million. Although it might take some years before she tops the list of richest people in the world, the singer’s determination to continue her career in the face of numerous hardships is a testament to her moxie. Back when her mother, Naomi Judd, passed away, the star praised her fans for supporting her through the years. “I am humbled, once again, by the loyalty of the fans who have been with us for 38+ years, who continue to show up for me when I need them the most. I am grateful that we will continue to honor The Judds’ legacy, together.”
