Reba McEntire Finds Love In The Time Of COVID
Reba McEntire and boyfriend Rex Linn have actually known each other for over 30 years. They first met in the early ’90s when they were both in The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw alongside Kenny Rogers.
They kept in touch in the years after but never went beyond platonic friendship. Until 2020 happened. The year is infamously known for the coronavirus pandemic that essentially shut the world down and forced people into isolation.
However, before that happened, Rex Linn and the “Fancy” singer met up for dinner. He shared the sweet snapshot on his social media.

2020 was also the year Reba McEntire lost her beloved mother, and Linn reached out. The two continued to chat via phone and Facetime until they could reconnect in person. They haven’t left each other’s side in the three years since.
The Voice Keeps Her Busy
Reba McEntire’s work ethic rivals that of her friend and fellow country singer, Dolly Parton. They both released albums and coffee table books this year. In October, McEntire released Not That Fancy, an album that reimagines some of her biggest hits in stripped-down versions.
She released a lifestyle book of the same name around the same time.
Reba McEntire fans can also see her on TV every week on The Voice. She replaced Blake Shelton as coach on the long-running NBC singing competition.
Reba McEntire & Rex Linn’s Marriage Plans
Reba McEntire was a guest on Watch What Happens Live last month to promote her new endeavors. Rex Linn was in the audience to support his lady love.
Bravo host Andy Cohen couldn’t resist asking the singer a question from the viewers – does she plan to marry Rex Linn?

She said at the time that she would marry him if he asked, but it was up to him. McEntire also revealed that Rex Linn has never been married. As for the “Does He Love You” singer, she’s been married twice. She was married to Charlie Battles from 1976 – 1987 and Narvel Blackstock from 1989 – 2015. Blackstock is the father of Kelly Clarkson‘s ex-husband, which briefly made Reba McEntire Kelly Clarkson’s stepmother-in-law.
In a recent interview with Taste of Country, she gave a similar response when asked about their wedding plans. “I told him if he wanted to get married, that’s up to him totally. He doesn’t seem pressured one way or the other.”
McEntire gushed about their relationship, “We get along so well. We have fun. We travel together.”
Marriage or not, she said it’s a “pretty good partnership.”
