Last year, Kane co-hosted with Kelsea and Anthony Mackie. Along with co-hosting, he will perform his hot new single “Thank God.” Kane will perform alongside his wife Katelyn Brown for the special performance. It’s a world-premiere performance that’s been in the making. The couple performed the song on his Drunk or Dreaming Tour.

However, the CMT Awards will mark the television debut of this song. When he was asked to return to this year’s CMT Awards, Kane Brown gave an “immediate yes!” It was a no-brainer for him. He spoke to ET correspondent Cassie DiLaura about fulfilling his role as co-host.

“My first CMT was my first award,” Kane Brown told ET Online. “[It’s the] only award show I’ve hosted and it’s just cool, getting to keep doing it and getting to keep getting more comfortable.”

He called Kelsea a “natural sweetheart” who complements his personality. As for Kane, he hopes to “bring the excitement” to the ceremony. He’s glad to be co-hosting with a friend. Kane is also excited about performing his duet with his wife.

Make acting debut in CBS’ Fire Country

In addition to co-hosting the CMT Awards, Kane Brown will make his acting debut in CBS’ Fire Country. The popular drama takes place in Edgewater, California. Kane will play the role of Robin, who is described as an “enigmatic, modern-day train hopper who helps injured patients on the scene of a crash.” Just like Robin Hood, Kane is also an outlaw who’s on the run.

Fire Country premiered on CBS on October 7, 2022. It stars Max Thierot who plays Bode Donovan. The former convict wants to redeem his life as he seeks a shortened prison sentence. Aside from Max and Kane, Billy Burke, Diane Farr, Kevin Alejandro, Jordan Galloway, Jules Latimer, and Stephanie Argila will also appear on the episode, which airs on April 7, 2023. The show will also stream on Paramount+ the day after.

Kane Brown will return to the road as part of his Drunk or Dreaming Tour. It will kick off in Grand Rapids, Michigan on March 16, 2023, and conclude in Greenwood Village, Colorado on Saturday, June 10, 2023. Kane’s career continues to thrive this year.
