Blake Shelton Moves Away From The Voice
The Voice is an American television show where performers are judged by four talented musicians. Blake Shelton just happens to be one of those judges. The artist had been on the show for 12 years and participated in 23 seasons. Blake was there from the very beginning of Season 1 when the show originally aired in 2011. He decided to step down from his position before the start of Season 24.
Shelton’s final season, Season 23, wrapped up in May 2023. This will be the last time the artist will be seen in the series, at least as a judge. His career would not be where it was if not for The Voice, so it was a very difficult decision to make. Blake made the announcement on October 11, 2022, on his Twitter and Instagram. Blake Shelton Being Rewarded For New Career
Lucky for Blake, his career is far from over. After 12 years of being on NBC, a new chapter is finally beginning for the 47-year-old. Blake has had success with his music before, but this is the first time in a long time he is not relying on his fame from another source. The songwriter began his music career in 2001, though he had written his first song at age 15. He had garnered enough attention until 2011 to make it onto The Voice, and working for the NBC series exploded his popularity.
Now that the singer is independent again, Blake will have more time to return to his music, the thing that brought him to fame in the first place.
Exciting news about Shelton’s career dropped in mid-August when the country singer shared that he was nominated for four different People’s Choice Awards. The awards include; The People’s Artist of 2023, The Male Artist Of 2023, The Concert Tour of 2023, and The Social Country Star Of 2023. Voting took place throughout the month of August and concluded on the 25th of the month. The event is scheduled to take place in the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN come September 2023.
