Back in April, country singer Jon Pardi stood on stage at the Stagecoach Festival in California. Born and raised in California, the singer found the moment to be a compilation of all his hard work over the past decade. While playing at Stagecoach is already an honor, Guy Fieri surprised him when he appeared on stage. But that wasn’t all as Fieir revealed a video from Alan Jackson welcoming Pardi as the latest member to be inducted into the Grand Ole Opry. Although Pardi is the 226th artist to be welcomed at the Grand Ole Opry, the moment marks another milestone for both the historic site and Pardi.
The invitation seemed surreal to Jon Pardi for several reasons. First, the Grand Ole Opry is sacred to any person within country music. But what really shocked Pardi was receiving the invite from Alan Jackson. A massive fan, Pardi admitted, “I always want to make a record that Alan Jackson would want to listen to.” But that was just a taste of what was in store for Pardi when he traveled to Nashville.
Soaking It All In
Getting a moment to take in the Grand Ole Opry before the festivities started, Jon Pardi recalled when it felt like home. “When it became real family was when I got to walk around this place when nobody was here. I mean, nobody. The backstage wasn’t like this. There was nobody. I actually took the time to really look at the pictures.” He added, “I’m going to remember this as a day that I really made an impact in a family of legends.”

While Jon Pardi received his induction on Saturday, the event will air on November 18. However, thanks to social media, fans got a glimpse at what to expect. Once again shocked, the singer received his award from legendary country singer Garth Brooks. Brooks handed him the award, suggesting, “This is me and you joined in holy matrimony shared by our love of country music. Are you prepared for this? Because now we got each other’s back. There’s going to be time when your ass needs saving. There’s going to be a time mine needs saving, and I’m depending on you to do it.”
Jon Pardi Makes History
What makes Jon Pardi’s induction so memorable is the fact that the singer is the first native Californian to receive such an honor. Not taking the moment for granted and surrounded by his icons, Pardi admitted, “It’s full circle to watch my hero, from flying around an arena in concert to right now. I love the Opry and being a part of its family. The future is so bright.”
