Dolly Parton, The Rock Star?
Dolly Parton is best known for her decades-long career in country music. But now she’s a bona fide rock star, too. The singer and actress extraordinaire released an album of rock covers after getting inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Rockstar was released nationwide on November 17, and the reviews have been mostly positive. People were especially surprised by her rousing cover of one of Prince’s biggest hits.
She’s been on a promotional tour to promote the album since she no longer does traditional tours. In addition to appearing on various talk shows, including a one-hour special on ABC, Dolly Parton’s team promotes the album on social media.
Taking the promotion right to the streets, there’s a bus driving around New York City plastered with posters about Rockstar.

Dolly Parton, 77, Breaks The Internet In Sexy Cheerleader Hot Pants
While Dolly Parton has no plans to perform at the Super Bowl, she took the field at an NFL game on Thanksgiving Day. Parton was the headliner for halftime at the Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders game.
The match, which took place in Dallas, Texas, kicked off the Salvation Army’s 133rd annual Red Kettle Campaign.
During her performance, Dolly Parton performed her classic hits “9 to 5” and “Jolene” and her cover of Queen’s “We Are the Champions.” However, no one was talking about her singing.
The 77-year-old took the field in a Dallas Cowboys cheerleading uniform, complete with a crop top and short shorts.

Dolly Parton was the hot topic across all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit. Multiple posts came up on the subreddit dedicated to the singer. One fan wrote, “I can’t believe she could pull off the outfit at her age.”
Another declared the 2023 halftime show the best ever. “There’s no way to top that half time show next year,” they wrote.
“Dolly is a National Treasure,” another fan of the singer wrote.
Not Everyone Is A Fan
However, not everyone was a fan of Dolly Parton or her outfit. One Twitter user created a viral post asking other users if they’re okay with “Dolly Parton dressing like a 20 year old Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader.”
The post garnered over 10k comments and 1.5k quote tweets where Twitter users retweeted the post and added their own commentary.
“Yes..Dolly can pull this off with class,” one person replied to the original post. In fact, the majority of comments were supportive of her wardrobe choice.
