Country star Wynonna Judd put aside some time in her busy schedule to support the American rapper Post Malone. The country and rap genres are obviously quite different, so what does Wynonna find so enjoyable about Malone?
What Is Wynonna Judd Up To?
Wynonna is a 59-year-old country singer and songwriter with an impressive 20 No. 1 singles. She is one of the most well-established and respected celebrities in the business. Not only does Judd have countless awards accumulated over the years, but she has also appeared in dozens of shows and movies and is a bestselling author. Currently, Wynonna Judd has just kicked off her Back To Wy theater tour, which will run through the end of December 2023.

Even though Judd is a busy woman, she still has made the time to enjoy the performances of other artists. One of those artists may surprise you. As it turns out, Wynonna Judd also spends her free time listening to the American rapper and singer Post Malone. She tells Entertainment Tonight, “In the car when you’re going 75, what do you listen to? Post Malone.”
Austin Richard Post is a young American singer known for his songs “Circles,” and “Sunflower.” He has dabbled in a handful of different genres, such as R&B, hip-hop, pop, and trap. Post is far from a country artist, so it is surprising that Wynonna would show this much interest in his music.
Wynonna Judd gushes over Post Malone
The compliments towards the 28-year-old don’t end there. Wynonna further praises Austin, saying: “I love Post Malone. If you go see his shows, you know, it’s real easy to judge the book by the cover and all this stuff that you hear. He’s got the most tender heart, he’s got a baby, he’s in love, he’s happy, he’s pretty darn normal in a sense because he’s very present. He’s smart and he’s just so creative. And I saw his show. It’s one of the best shows I’ve ever seen.”
Judd continues even further, “No, I’m serious — he’s a great singer. That’s another thing. He is a great singer and his melodies — You know, so much of music, sometimes, it doesn’t have melody as much anymore. He sings. I could not have loved his show more.”
The performance Wynonna Judd was referring to was a concert from his If Y’all Weren’t Here, I’d Be Crying tour a few months ago. The actress and author had attended his tour stop in Atlanta, GA. On her Instagram, she posted an image of her and Brad Paisley with the pop star as well as a few videos of the concert itself. The caption simply stated, “Posty x ATL📍.”
